Светить на Север
Directed by Anastasia Lomakina
Olga is a native Pomeranian, a candidate of historical sciences and a mother. Her dream is to create a Lighthouse Museum on Mudyuga to restore its status as an island of hope. After all, for two centuries the “White Tower” and “Black Tower” lighthouses were symbols of salvation for sailors. However, the island's dark past (Russia's first concentration camp, 1918–1919) and the modern emphasis on tragedy overshadow the bright history of the lighthouses and their keepers. Olga is sure: the museum will harmonize the memory of Mudyuga and show children that darkness can be overcome with light. Despite the bureaucracy, the disbelief of those around her and the status of lighthouses as objects of the Ministry of Defense, she studies, looks for exhibits and like-minded people...
