These craftsmen originally “Potters” by caste became the core settlers of Kumartuli, which means “Potters Quarter”. “Documentation of Clay Image Makers of Kumartuli”s an attempt to understand their plight and Kumartuli’s contribution to one of the biggest festivals in the world.
