For my Daughter
Directed by Patricia Bolonkali
Freddy, a young father from the DRC, is separated from his daughter, who lives in the enclave of Cabinda, Angola. For the past two years, he has been a “Koroman,” a cart pusher at the market, a grueling and poorly regarded job. Freddy writes a letter to his daughter with the camera, torn between shame, bravery, and a father’s love.
