Venice, 1563. Asher and Aaron are two inseparable Jewish teenagers, fleeing the massacres of Central Europe. Injured, they reach the House of the Catechumens, where “infidels” who wish to convert are cared for, fed, educated, and integrated into Christian society... but once inside, there is no turning back.
