This former truck driver, adrift in life, made a sensation on the open mic segment of a popular radio station until he was given his own weekly show in the late 1990s. Becoming famous against his will, this sensitive soul—whose wit is as flamboyant as his disarming naivety—would experience both the splendors and the miseries of overnight stardom.
