Bernie Eisel travels to Spain to meet up with his ex Mapei teammate and three times World Championship winner Oscar Freire to learn more about the most successful Spanish sprinter. Starting in Torrelavega, Bernie joins Oscar on a ride around his home town and learns how his childhood helped shape the famous sprinter before taking on one of Oscar’s old training rides through the beautiful Cantabrian mountains, unlocking the secrets of Oscar’s success. The duo look back at Oscar’s race wins including three editions of Milan - San Remo, three World Championships, and his successes in the Tour De France. We hear from ex Mapei Teammate, and long time friend, Pedro Horrillo - who explains why Oscar is fondly known in the cycling World as “The Cat”.
