Marraia
Directed by Diego Scarparo
In Burarama, in the late 1960s, brothers Marcelo and Lua face an epic defeat in a marbles game against Baloni, the region's best player. Marcelo, however, refuses to accept the outcome and challenges his rival to a rematch - with one condition: they must wager 300 marbles in just ten days. Marcelo embarks on a true journey to gather the marbles, testing his intelligence, persistence, and character, and ultimately discovering that this adventure goes far beyond simple marbles. The film thus offers a reflection on the process of maturation, the relationship with time, and the discovery of the world, both for children and adults.
