Secretly, she joins a French class with free‐spirited teacher Alexander and classmates Mehmet, Richard, Simon, and Miriam, learning life as much as language. As Barbara blossoms in newfound friendships, her family notices her spark reignited, and she resolves to seize her own happiness.
