Reports from the void
Directed by Martin Prinoth
In an experimental arrangement, the film accompanies two young Italian war photographers on an inner journey through their photo archives of wars and catastrophes. While shooting themselves they are searching for images that bear witness and asking about the human impulse to make and absorb pictures of dead and disaster. The film—shot during the Italian Corona lockdown—circles around what Giorgio Agamben calls the ”void“ that every testimony contains at its core.
