The Jitters
Directed by Lynne Sachs
A woman and a man shimmy nude across a bed while their three pet 20-year old water frogs wiggle in their nearby tank, all celebrating who they are independently and together. Before making this film, Sachs had “the jitters” – a feeling of nervousness before something important happens – but then she got over it and pulled out her Bolex camera and started shooting. Commissioned for the Century of 16mm celebration to mark the 100-year anniversary of 16mm motion picture film.
