An atmospheric, contemplative visual impression set on a river at dawn. The scene, immersed in thick fog and the gentle light of the rising sun, reveals the rituals of everyday life and the silent presence of nature, in which a seemingly ordinary ferry crossing takes on symbolic meaning. The painting is filled with an atmosphere of mystery and elusive tension, with a subtle emphasis on detail – from the reels and rope, to the ferryman's tired hand and the glint of a silver coin.
