Writer/Producer Steve Cubine is a graduate of the University of Tennessee-Knoxville with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. Fellow Broadcasting classmate was "Desperate Housewives" star, James Denton. He began his career in the art department on projects like Universal's "Mercury Rising," the NBC's TV series "Players," and the FOX's TV series "Get Real," which starred Anne Hathaway and Jesse Eisenberg. Cubine is the writer/producer of the hit comedy digital series "Break A Hip' which stars Christina Pickles & Britt Hennemuth and features guest-star turns by Allison Janney, Octavia Spencer, Peri Gilpin, Jim Rash and Priscilla Barnes. Highlights of Cubine past films as producer include "Brave New Jersey" starring Tony Hale and Anna Camp, "Lucky" with Colin Hanks, Ari Graynor, Jeffrey Tambor and Ann-Margret, Miramax's "Our Very Own," starring Allison Janney, Cheryl Hines, Jason Ritter, Keith Carradine. "Our Very Own" received a 2005 Independent Spirit Award nomination for Janney, and went on to win many festival awards. He also was on the producing team of the cult favorite "Sordid Lives," a comedy written and directed by renowned playwright Del Shores and starring Bonnie Bedelia, Beau Bridges, Delta Burke and Olivia Newton-John. "Sordid Lives" was a major success on the film festival circuit. Cubine is also a writer. His first novel, "Walking On Electric Air," was published in February of 2010. (Height 6' 1" (1.85 m))
